2. Encounter random events:

- Good events (improve health/progress)

- Bad events (decrease health)

- Neutral events

- Treasure chests (choose to open or leave)

3. Make key decisions each turn:

- "Onward": Continue but risk death

- "Settle here": Lock in current distance for daily rankings

Inventory Management

- Only one item can be held at a time

- Start with "Can of Beans" (increases travel distance)

- View inventory and use items at any time

- Items from chests may help or harm your journey

Death and Revival

- Death occurs if health depletes completely

- Revival options:

- Cost: 500 $BORED tokens

- Resume from death location

- Random health restoration (Rare for a full health revive, common for a normal-low health revive)

- Skip revival = lose progress and prize pool eligibility

Tracking Progress

- Check "Standings" button for approximate ranking

- Rankings shown as: Top 100, Top 50, or Top 10

- Exact position is never displayed

Daily Competition

- Reset occurs at midnight UTC

- Prize pool includes:

- Entry fees from players

- Additional ~$100 daily bonus (for first 28 days)

- Winners determined by:

1. Furthest distance reached while surviving

2. Tiebreakers: Highest health remaining or fastest completion

- Top 3 players share the prize pool (first place gets highest percentage)

2. Holiday lights tangle - a self rolling ball of holiday lights tangles you up while it rolls damaging you.
3. Rerouted - your gps gets bewitched, leading you in circles and setting you back ten miles, -20 distance for 3 moves.
